"Mean girls": Senators Lindsey Graham (SC) and John McCain (AZ)

That’s not the Firedoglake crowd or Adam Green talking about President Obama. This time, it’s Lindsey Graham, who doesn’t hold back his opinions about what his Senate colleagues did during the lame duck.

Case in point: Linsdey and his whiny friends are about to lose on START … and hopefully also today, on the 9/11 first responders bill. On the latter score, The Beard gets a visit. (BTW now trending: are Lindsey Graham and John McCain the “mean girls” of the U.S. Senate?)

Another win for the POTUS (and the Internet) — the FCC approves new “net neutrality” rules.

Meanwhile, the budget battle of 2011 is set, cooked and ready to serve, even if 75 lawmakers skipped the vote.

Speaking of no-shows, Joe Manchin is sorry he missed the big votes on DADT and the DREAM Act. Uh-huh…

Also on Capitol Hill, the president signs the bill repealing DADT, in a big win for gay rights groups.

Here’s hoping the Ivy Leagues, including my old alma mater, bring back ROTC just as swiftly.

Chilling effect? The CIA launches a Wikileaks task force.

More chilling: the return of secession love in the south.

Let the Census redistricting wars begin.

Last, but certainly not least, put the 111th Congress down in the history books as the most productive congress since the one that passed LBJ’s Great Society measures into law. Kudos, Nancy and Harry. Job well done.
